Admissions Application Process and Criteria

Admissions Policy

Veritas Christian School offers a Classical Christian education to families who desire a Christ-centered education for their children and who are supportive of  Veritas Christian School’s Mission, Vision,Values and of education and supports our Statement of Faith. Our purpose is to serve families who desire not simply a non-public school education,  but a distinctively Classical Christian education for their children.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Veritas Christian School admits students of any gender, race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students in the school.  It does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, financial assistance, or other school-administered programs.

New Student Admission Requirements

When you have determined that Veritas Christian School could be a good fit for your family, you can begin the application process by scheduling an educational consultation. As part of the application process you will need to:

  • Complete the application form (there is a $50.00 non-refundable application fee)

  • Provide, for a student enrolling at VCS for the first time, a pastor letter of recommendation, including contact information from recent pastor from his/her church

  • Submit a copy of your child’s birth certificate

  • Submit current academic and health records from his/her previous school

Available seats are offered first to students whose parents are members of our faculty and staff and previously enrolled students; then they are opened to families who are new to VCS. Seats are not reserved for any student until the student is accepted through the application and interview/assessment* process and the non-refundable application fee is paid.

Educational Support

Here at VCS, our first priority is the spiritual and academic success of our students. Because we are a small school, we are unable to provide a full-time special education teacher.  For students requiring additional educational support, we may request that they be evaluated by our learning specialists or other professionals to determine if the VCS learning environment will provide the support needed for your child to succeed.

Behavioral Support

Because we are a small school, VCS is unable to provide a full-time special education teacher.  Regretfully, we are unable to address the needs of students with serious emotional/behavioral issues. However, we do offer limited specialized learning support.  As such, students must exhibit a history of acceptable citizenship at previous schools they attended.

VCS age cutoff dates

  • Pre K:  Age 4 by August 1

  • Kindergarten: Age 5 by August 1

  • The August 1st cutoff is firm and is NOT evaluated on a student by student basis.

Returning Student Admission Requirements

For returning VCS students, an email will be sent when re-enrollment opens.  Returning students documents should be on file in FACTS.

If you have questions at any point during the application process, email.

Veritas Christian School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in regard to enrollment.
