1 Peter 3:3-4 (ESV)

Do not let your adorning be external – the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.

Purpose of Dress Code

The purposes of a uniform policy are to focus students on learning and not on clothing, to maintain a commitment to excellence in dress, to equalize student appearance by moving away from branding/expensive clothes, to teach modesty and appropriate dress to students in formal environments, and affordability.  While we seek for our student body to look nice, we are mindful that true beauty comes from the inner self.

Uniform Requirements

Veritas maintains a uniform policy, with uniforms selected to be consistent with the above stated purposes, and for their versatility, comfort, simplicity, and price. The number of items parents choose to purchase will be based on their own preference and budget. For complete details regarding the uniform policy and guidelines please refer to the most current issue of Veritas Christian School’s Parent/Student Handbook. The Administrator has final authority to ask a student to return home to wear clothes that meet uniform requirements.
